Madrone Baronial Banquet

April 01, 2017

King County, WA

Autocrat: Luaithrend inghean Uilliam

Baron Enzio Bandinelli and Baroness Spike Zoetaert of Madrone, eldest and grandest Barony in An Tir, send most courteous greetings and invite the populace of the Barony, Canton of Porte de l'Eau, College of Saint Bunstable, their guests, neighbors and allies to a Grand Banquet in celebration of the 15th century in The Low Countries!  (The site is discreetly wet; adult beverages in period containers only, please. Site demands require that NO HOME-BREWED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES may be permitted; store-bought only, please.)

We are planning a day of activities to amaze and delight.  Our event staff is busily working with instructors to prepare wonderful classes (yes, classes!! Dance Class!  Period Table Manners!! Marginalia!!  And More!!), a Speed Chess tournament, games, and a Pas-de-Faux to entertain the populace as we wait for Court to begin.  What's that?  You like to dance?  We will indeed be dancing after the Feast!   The festivities will culminate in feasting on a menu prepared by the renowned Madrone Culinary Guild.  The Guild is constructing a feast based on Ghent and Brussels circa 1500 AD.  What marvels will they bring to table for Banquet?  Mouths water at the very thought!  See below for Menu Details.

In support of the decree of Their Royal Majesties Styrkarr and Stjarna regarding heraldic requirements for May Crown, Aestel Herald and our own Red Tree Pursuivant Herald will be hosting a Full Service Consult table from approximately 11:00am to 2:30pm.  They will be ready, willing, and very able to help with your name and device registry needs!!  (Check or money order only accepted for registration fees.)

Sponsored by the incomprabale Liadin, the Barony is hosting a Dirty Half-Dozen Tournament!  Entrants must create six items, based on a single theme, suitable for largesse.  Voting will be by the populace.  The creator who received the most votes will have the joy of selecting one of each of the other entres as their own.  All remaining entries will be given to Their Excellenies as largesse.  Entries will be accepted at the Dirty Dozen table until 1pm, and the winner will be announced during evening court.
