Sticking weaving has been dated as far back as 4000 years (Mayans) and suggestion is that the Crusaders brought this art form to Europe from the Middle East.
Stick weaving is a versatile art form using as few as two sticks up to as many as you can comfortably hold depending on the width required for the desired end use. Weaving is done either flat or circular (tubular). Projects, for example, can include scarfs, pouches, mug rugs and belts.
Stick weaving is an art form the can be carried in a pocket or pouch easily retrievable whenever you have a few moments to spare. In addition, it is probably the simplest version of warp/weft weaving. It is also considered one of the most versatile weaving techniques.
