N. Sound Sergeantry Trials & Sable Rose Tournaments

Come one and all to witness the North Sound Sergeantry Trials and Sable Rose Tournaments! The Baronies of Aquaterra, Madrone and Wyewood and the Shire of Midhaven have come together to present Sergeantry Trials and York Rounds on Saturday, and the Sable Rose Emprise Equestrian Challenge, Rapier Prize Tourney, and Youth Armored Combat Competition on Sunday. We invite the populace to observe and cheer on those of our Sergeantry Candidates who would seek the honor and responsibility of achieving membership in the Order, or enjoy the many diversions offered.

The Populace is encouraged to explore the testing stations, enjoy the archery and thrown weapons ranges during posted open hours, or bring your equine friend for open ride and gaming pleasure on Saturday of the event. In regards to marijuana laws, all SCA participants should follow modern law, both State and Federal. As it is still illegal under Federal law, marijuana is prohibited at SCA functions.  Jan 2013 Board Meeting.

Site fees:

Weekend: Adult - $15, youth under 17 - $10, family cap (2 adults/ 2 children under 17) - $50
Day trip Saturday: Adult - $10, youth - $7, family cap - $34
Children under 5 years old: free

MINORS 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian AND bring with them the following documents completed by their parent/legal guardian: SCA Medical Authorization for Minors and SCA Minor Event Waiver (forms may be obtained at

Equestrian camping: $10/ night. Payable to the site owner via the EQMiC when you check in. For more information please see the event web page.

Directions to Site:

Take Exit 212 from Interstate 5. Travel west 3 miles on State Route 532. Turn Left on 64th Ave. Go approximately 1/2 mile, and turn right on to the Pioneer Hwy. The fairgrounds entrance will be on the right just past the Eagles Club on the corner: look for the SCA signs.
