Autocrat: Anderwyn na Sionan device3214OP

..Commemorating the 28th year of The William Tell Tourney August 23-25th, the Shire of River’s Bend welcomes one and all to attend.

Combining our Defenders and Protectors tournaments with our regular events this year promises to provide a very full schedule. In addition we have an Arts & Sciences competition on a William Tell Theme and the Iron Missile competition in thrown weapons & archery.

Regular events include our William Tell shoot, A Novelty Shoot, The Best Who Shall Not Be Named shoot, children archery events, the adult/child shoot, Thrown weapons, classes on a variety of topics including archery and thrown weapons marshalling, a Movie Night with “Brave”, Children’s activities to include the heraldic Scavenger hunt & ice cream making, Heraldry consultation, Saturday night dessert potluck social and Bardic, Friday Night’s Travelers’ meal for a cost of $4, the  Guillermo da Sierra Patace Memorial Bocce Ball Tourney, and merchants. We are working with the site owners on the possibility of woods battles.

Please note the Heavies and Rapier area will be in the arena this year. This offers plenty of seating for the spectators.

Fire pits are permitted providing they are up off the ground and there is not a burn ban in effect.

Absolutely No Smoking anywhere except in your camps or by the permanent bathrooms graveled area.

There will be NO York Rounds due to the continuing Safety issue of distance versus wind changes at this site. However there will be open range time on Sunday to practice honing your archery skills.

Note there has been some rearranging of the site for activities. Some of the camping space has been shifted.

As always Volunteers are welcome and appreciated especially in Town crying heralding and marshalling

Note that the above Weather and Map information is generated from the site address and can be easily confused. The weather will say if its for the branch or for the site. It will be for the site if the site can be found, but this again is not always the case, and if the site is some distance from the branch then the weather may be different.
