Their Excellencies, Baron Arontius and Baroness Laurellen, invite you to celebrate the 31^st anniversary of June Faire with the Barony of Dragon's Laire! Join Their Royal Majesties, King UlfR and Queen Caoimhe, for a full weekend of festivities and camping, May 31-June 2, 2013. Experience feats of armored combat, the finesse of rapier, archery, thrown weapons, a magnificent Arts & Sciences village, bardic performances, and a bustling marketplace.  This is our annual public demo and our premier Baronial event.  Please be prepared to show our modern guests just how skilled and dedicated the SCA is.

 

The Faire is remaining within the town of Port Gamble, WA.  The site is without power and we encourage you to prepare for all possibilities.  Visit www.portgamble.com for community information.  The Baronial website is www.dragonslaire.org which will have updated event information as it becomes available.

 

Camping groups with 5 tents or more and RV campers must both pre-register *and* contact the camping coordinator to ensure camping space, as pre-registering does not automatically mean that you will be placed with your group. 

All pre-registrations need to be done through ACCEPS for those in the U.S.  For those in Canada, please contact the pre-reg coordinator,  jf_gate@dragonslaire.org.  We encourage everyone to pre-register.  PRE-REG DEADLINE IS MAY 21st.  Pre-registering does not automatically reserve your camping space in your group.  If you wish to camp with or near a certain group, you need to contact the camping coordinator, Lord Thangbrand, at thangbrand_of_dl@rocketmail.com to ensure space is reserved.  RV campers contact THL Theodoric at fairwater@gmail.com.  Camping reservation deadline is May 22nd.

Pre-registration will begin no later than February 14th.  The ACCEPS website is at http://acceps.ansteorra.org/index.php

Please print your confirmation e-mail and bring it with you, just in case we or ACCEPS make a mistake.

Gate opens at 10 AM on Friday and closes at 1 PM on Sunday.  Everyone must be off site by 7 PM on Sunday.

Pre-Reg:  Adults $13.00 ($5.00 NMS applies for non-members); Youth 7-17 $6.00; Under 7 free (Family Cap $38.00)

At Gate:  Adults $15.00 ($5.00 NMS applies for non-members); Youth 7-17 $8.00; Under 7 free (Family Cap $46.00)

Day Trip: Adults $10.00 ($5.00 NMS applies for non-members); Youth 7-17 $5.00; Under 7 free

Pets are welcome; rigorous waste patrol is required! For the sake of safety and good manners, please keep your pet under the control of a responsible person (not a child) at all times, and *do not ever* leave your pets unattended.

Arts and Sciences Prize Tourney

Artisans!  Come show off your many talents at June Faire.  Enter the Arts and Science Prize Tourney at June Faire, vie for prizes and word fame, inspire!

Bring three items, each with no more than two pages of documentation.  Pick one of those items for the 1st round, another for the second round, and a third for the final round.  You will be asked to talk about each item and answer any questions the judges may have during each round.  Items should be historically based and the documentation should anchor the item as to time and place.

Directions to Site:

Site Information: Port Gamble, WA.; 98364. From Tacoma and Points South: Take I-5 North or South to Hwy 16 (Exit 132). Take Hwy 16, which turns into Hwy 3 North at Gorst. Stay on Hwy 3 North all the way to the Hood Canal Bridge. At the bridge Hwy 3 turns into Hwy 104 (Do NOT cross bridge). Follow Hwy 104 to Port Gamble (approximately 1 mile) and follow SCA signs to site. From the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry: Take Hwy 104 out of Kingston and follow to intersection where Hwy 104 turns north (there is a Gas Station at the corner). Turn right and continue on Hwy 104 to site.
