Sergeants, Yeomen and Gallants Trials

July 25, 2014 to July 27, 2014

Victoria, BC

Autocrat: Athelina Grey

Greetings people and friends of Seagirt,

Our annual Sergeants, Yeoman and Gallants event is coming up on July 25-27.

This year, we do not have any candidates for Sergeants.

Instead of testing, we are making this an opportunity for learning. There will be classes on all the topics that a candidate would be tested on, to prepare those people who would take the tests in future. These classes are also open to anyone else who has a general interest in that topic, or wants to see what a Sergeant has to do.

The schedule for the event:

4pm - Site opens

9am - Opening court, words from the Sergeants.
10am - Castles and Fortifications
11am - Strategy
12pm - Arms and Armor
1pm - Lunch
2pm - Armoured Combat
3pm - Rapier
4pm - Combat Archery
5pm - Dinner
7pm - Dance
8pm - Bardic

9am - Games
10am - Heraldry
11am - Persona Development
12pm - Archery range opens for practice and Royal Rounds
2pm - range closes
4pm - site closes

All classes will be consistent with the standards required for Sergeants Testing.

The classes are open to anyone who wants to take them, not only those who would apply. They are all going to be recognized for TUTR credit. Some classes cost a few dollars for photocopying.

The site is Cobble Hill Hall, at 3550 Watson Ave in Cobble Hill.

To get there, take Highway 1 to Cobble Hill. Turn west on Hutchinson Rd off the highway, then right on Watson.

Prices will be $20 for the weekend, with no NMS. Youths 13-17 $10, 12 and under free.

Site opens at 4pm Friday, and closes at 4pm Sunday.

Pets permitted, on leash only.

We hope to see you there!

Note that the above Weather and Map information is generated from the site address and can be easily confused. The weather will say if its for the branch or for the site. It will be for the site if the site can be found, but this again is not always the case, and if the site is some distance from the branch then the weather may be different.
