Champions/Emprise: Sable Rose/Youth Allthing

Midhaven Champions Tournament/Emprise of the Sable Rose & The Youth Allthing        

 

You are invited to attend The Midhaven Champions Tournament, The Emprise of the Sable Rose AND The Youth Allthing. Three events for the price of one!

 

On Saturday, compete to be the Shire of Midhaven's Champion in any of these categories: Heavy Armored Combat, Rapier, Archery, Darts, Thrown Weapons, Equestrian, Bardic and Arts and Sciences. The Youth Champions will be chosen for Youth Armored Combat, Arts & Sciences and Bardic.

 

Saturday evening, join the Royal Company of the Sable Rose for a potluck dinner and enjoy the Bardic Competitors.  A main dish will be provided at the potluck please bring a dish to share.

 

Sunday, watch or participate as the best of the best compete in the Emprise of the Sable Rose. Try your skills in Fine Rapier combat, Exciting Equestrian challenges, Heavy Armored Pas d’Arms and pageantry that must be seen to believed!

 

Archers, join us Sunday for York Rounds.

 

Both Saturday and Sunday, Youth Allthing classes will be taking place. 

 

Site opens at 3pm for the populace, merchants can enter at 2pm for set-up.

Equestrians must pre-register and pre-pay by June 15th.

Paddock space available.  Stalls are available for rent directly from the Fairgrounds.  Contact HL Mericke or HL Taradan for details.

 

Site Information:  Skagit County Fairgrounds, 1410 Virginia St., Mount Vernon, WA  98284.  Site opens at 3pm on Friday, June 19 and closes at 7pm on Sunday, June 21.

 

Site Fee: Weekend, $15 for Adults + $3 Adult non member surcharge, $10 for ages 6-17, 5 and under are free. Family cap $50.  Day Trip, $10 for Adults +$3 Adult non member surcharge, $5 for ages 6-17. Family cap $30 (Equestrian site fee will be different, watch the website for this info)  Make checks payable to the "Shire of Midhaven, SCA Inc."

Directions to site :  From I-5 North and South; Take Kincaid exit # 226, (From north I-5 turn right)  (from south I-5 turn left) onto Kincaid, then left on to Cleveland, then right onto Hazel look for SCA signs to North Gate off of Hazel.
