The An Tir Handbook, 3rd Edition, May XXXIII/1998
While technically being a member of a peerage order is not an office,
being a peer is a job description. The expectation is that anyone who
is a peer will continue to exemplify the graces of courtesy and chivalry
and that they will continue to work, teach and serve as they had before
they were acknowledged as being a peer.
Each of the peerage orders in An Tir have a Council Secretary
who serves as a contact with that peerage.
