AdministrationGREAT OFFICESArts & SciencesKingdom Minister of Arts and SciencesThe Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences is the chief artistic and scientific officer of the Crown. The responsibilities of the Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences are: to encourage the research and development of historically accurate period art forms, technologies, and philosophies; to promote and encourage period appropriate arts and sciences works; to aid in the selection of the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion by organizing the competition with the assistance of the current Arts & Sciences Champion; and to serve on the Royal Regalia Commission. Sometimes this office is split into two offices: Kingdom Minister of Arts and Kingdom Minister of Sciences. This division is also found in some local branches. The Kingdom Guilds include: Arachne's Web (the Society-wide Lacemakers Guild); the Armorers Guild; Black Kettle (the An Tir Culinary Guild); Costumers Guild; Embellishers Guild (embroidery and needlework); the Weavers Guild; the Herbal Guild; the Moneyers Guild and the Spiritmakers Guild. Principality and Regional Arts & Sciences MinistersThe Principality and Regional Arts & Sciences Ministers are primarily administrative deputies responsible for condensing the reports of their subordinate officers. They may be responsible for the Arts & Sciences competition for their area. Branch Arts & Sciences MinistersBranch Arts and Sciences Officers facilitate S.C.A. members in their artistic and scientific endeavors. They do this by being a resource, arranging to have classes taught on diverse subjects, holding competitions and finding other ways to inspire people's interest in the arts and sciences. |
